Fidel was a huge fan of Rolex. He conquered Havana wearing a submariner. Later wore a day date with a sub: one on Cuba time and one on Moscow time. Eventually he replaced the sub with a gmt master with Bakelite but continued to wear two watches. He would give his cabinet members rolex as gifts. Che allegedly died with a sub given to him by Fidel.
