04-23-2019, 05:59 PM Hi folks, new on the site and getting my home shop set up. I have a chance to take a look at one of these this weekend. let's just say it will be in good shape. Any thoughts on what the value should be? What are the usual parts needed for fixes.. tires, blade and guide? Are parts not too bad to find?

The least expensive way to get additional resaw capacity would be to purchase one of the Asian 14 inch cast iron saws and add a riser block. 12-13-2014, 03:00 PM I've just picked up a pretty decent General 490 15" bandsaw and have a few questions. From the S/N, H998, it would appear to be a 1969 model. Weighs a ton and darn near killed me getting it into the basement shop by myself, but it's up and running.

Lots of other places sell over and under 100" -- 97" -102" etc…). Im sure there is a range of sizes for this saw but im not sure what it is.
